The ABSL Talks keynote speaker will be Randi Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media, TV and radio host, book author, producer and a theater supporter, previously associated with the Facebook brand.
Karol PaciorekKarol Paciorek is our Master of Ceremony for ABSL Talks. Best known for his "Lekko Stronniczy" project, which is an online show, as well as a book that he co-written ("Lekko Stronniczy - Jeszcze Więcej"). However, after having read other Youtubers' books available on the market, he felt awkward and decided not to publish any more.
Even though Karol claims that travelling is overrated, he is constantly on the go. He was first hired as a host outside the Internet in 2011, then did it repeatedly until he was absolutely certain he enjoyed it.
Karol describes and explains various phenomena via his Youtube channel KtoWieTenWie. He also does interviews and is a host of "Musisz To Mieć" on HGTV. Still, he considers himself an Internet idealist.
Randi ZuckerbergRandi Zuckerberg is an entrepreneur, investor, author and media personality. As an early employee at Facebook, she led major marketing initiatives in the company’s formative years, helped launch the live streaming video industry, and was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2011 for her innovative coverage of the midterm elections, combining television and social media. She helped create Facebook Live, which is now used by more than a billion people around the globe.
Randi is the Founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media, which she founded with the mission of creating media content that puts intelligent, tech-savvy, entrepreneurial women and girls at the forefront. She has published three books: Dot Complicated, a New York Times bestseller, Dot, a children's book about a tech-savvy girl, and Missy President, a graphic novel about a 9-year-old girl who becomes President. In addition to books, Randi is an executive producer on various TV shows, hosts a weekly business talk radio show, is a frequent contributor on The Today Show and host of American Dreams on HSN. She is highly active on social media, with more than 2 million subscribers across her different platforms. Randi is also an active angel investor and enjoys mentoring entrepreneurs, building the next generation of amazing businesses, and sharing best practices with audiences around the world.
In her free time, Randi loves to act and sing, and is a lifetime lover of musical theater. She relishes her role as an ambassador for the arts and feels that in an increasingly digital world, connectivity is nothing without incredible art and content to connect to. But above all, Randi’s favorite job is mom. She has a B.A. in psychology from Harvard University and currently enjoys life in New York City with her husband and two young sons.
Yuri DrabentYuri Drabent is among the most popular figures of Polish marketing industry and an online entrepreneur. Often referred to as an inventor of Polish social media marketing. A real go-getter, co-founder of "Lubię to" agency - one of the most efficient marketing agencies in Poland.
Yuri is also a race car driver, a skydiver and an extreme sports lover. He takes part in numerous charity events. His speeches are always energetic, humorous and on point. He feels passionate about new technologies and when it comes to describing the world around us - no one does it like Yuri.
Marcin GortatMarcin Gortat is the only Polish professional basketball player to ever play in NBA Finals, currently representing Washington Wizards. Marcin was born in Łódź, started training at the age of 17 and by the age of 20 he got into the Polish national basketball team. His life goals were achieved by perseverance and hard work, which makes him a truely admirable celebrity.
Marcin is also a sought-after media personality and a charity activist. His foundation "MG13 Mierz Wysoko" promotes sports among children and supports youth development. The most popular event organized by his fountation is Marcin Gortat Camp. Hundreds of young athletes attend his sports schools. Marcin also supports National Armed Forces, families of veterans and disabled children.
He is uncommonly popular and recognizable worldwide, which makes him one of the most prominent figure promoting the image of Poland. Marcin knows about it and is also a proud organizer of the NBA Polish Night.
Sylwia KrólikowskaThe founder and owner of Van Dahlen Group, business trainer and consultant, she is also a professional psychologist, graduated from Jagiellonian University in Cracow (major in Business Psychology and Change Management). Since 2003, she specialises in conducting training courses, coaching and consulting. Her favorite subjects include leadership and empowerment – during her career she has trained more than five thousand managers and leaders.
Sylwia’s experience as a trainer is worldwide – she conducted training courses for managers in India, Malaysia, Philippines and Great Britain. She is also known as a very energetic and charismatic speaker, inspiring and supporting women during events in Poland (Queens of Life) and in Kazachstan (Global Business Forum). She has created the P.R.O.M.O.T.E.® Model, which describes what to do to achieve professional goals easily and more effectively.
Sławomir LachowskiAn innovative entrepreneur and manager, who held the highest managerial positions in the banking sector in Poland and abroad. He has lead several start-up projects in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Gibraltar and Malta.
After working in major Polish banks for seven years, Lachowski took a position in BRE Bank (currently mBank), where he created the new brand from the ground up - mBank became the first internet-based bank in Poland, and launched MultiBank, a modern, versatile bank for the emerging middle class and small and medium enterprises. In November 2007, Lachowski started the expansion of mBank to Czech and Slovak markets.
Lachowski is an author of numerous articles and works on the innovation in terms of finances, management and strategy. He published books such as Road to Innovation. Tomasz Michniewicza journalist, traveler, photographer, tv & radio host. Author of four bestselling non-fiction books: ‘Samsara’ - focusing on Asian magic, shamanism and tribal beliefs; ‘Fever’ - featuring modern-day treasure hunters, 'Your Own Way' highlighting social and environmental changes in the world through eyes of travelers and 'Parallel World', eight stories from places which image is heavily distorted in the media.
His projects attract media attention on regular basis, as he dives head first into his topics, taking the experiences to the fullest even if it involves serious risks along the way. His journeys include following art robbers and smugglers in Cambodia, visiting notorious San Quentin prison in California, observing professional card cheats and con men in Las Vegas casinos, exploring jungles of Cameroon in search of isolated Baka communities or searching for the lost treasure of the Atocha galleon with Mel Fischer Treasures crew.
As the only Western journalist based in Nepal in 2008, he reported the start of bloody demonstrations which led to overthrowing the monarchy and the introduction of democracy into the country. He is also the only Polish journalist who managed to get access to a military Maoist camp in Nepal.
Aleksandra PrzegalińskaPhD in philosophy of artificial intelligence, Assistant Professor at Kozminski University, currently Research Fellow at the Center for Collective Intelligence at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston. Recent visiting scholar at The New School for Social Research/ Brown University in New York City (2014).
In 2011 Aleksandra worked as the Chairman of Media Regulation Working Party at the Council of European Union in Brussels. As a William J. Fulbright Scholar Aleksandra also majored in Sociology at The New School for Social Research in New York (2012), where she participated in research on identity in virtual reality, with particular emphasis on Second Life.
Aleksandra’s current primary research interest include consequences of introducing artificial intelligence systems to people’s social and professional sphere as well as wearable technologies and human/bot interaction
Krzysztof WitkowskiKrzysztof Witkowski, a visionary man of passion from Łódź, founder and president of Virako. His activities include not only prestigious office buildings investments (such as Forum76 Business Centre). Witkowski initiates also cultural and charity events - he is an originator of "Szczęśliwe Podwórka" social action, founder of Virako Foundation, creator of extraordinary publishing house Kalendarz Virako and arts patron. Among his friends there are prominent figures of the cultural world, such as Ryszard Horowitz or Chris Niedenthal.
The newest project by Krzysztof Witkowski is Monopolis. It is a unique office complex adapted in the former Monopol Wódczany (1902), which is the third biggest industrial complex in Łódź (after Karol Scheibler and Izrael Poznańsi factories). Project combines modern office functions with services and recreation. In addition to that, there are spaces arranged also for culture including a theater.
